Get a new wallpaper from Flickr every day

FlickrWall lets you use Flickr photos as desktop wallpapers that change over time.

Using FlickrWall is really simple. First of all, you need to authorize the app to access your profile on the Flickr website. Then you have several options to configure the way FlickrWall selects images and sets them as your wallpape: from the Top 100, from a given user, from a specific group or taken at a specific place, to mention just a few.

Images on FlickrWall can be refreshed manually or according a time schedule, from hourly to once a day. If you don’t like the one selected by the program, just hit the Update now button. Mind you, the process can be a bit slow.

The program is quite simple and doesn’t really have other options. One thing we did miss during testing is having a way to filter images according to screen resolution – sometimes the photo selected by FlickrWall didn’t fit the desktop size at all.

FlickrWall uses the thousands of photos published on Flickr to deliver new desktop background images to your computer.

PROS

  • Wallpaper can be refreshed manually or automatically
  • Several criteria to search for new images
  • Easy to use

CONS

  • A bit slow
